How to give a damn

Remember their birthday
Ask about their day
Hold their hands
Look at them carefully
Notice their body language
Ask them about their interests
Actually care what they’re talking about
Cook them food
Take them out to places
Make little thank you cards
Or just say thank you more often
Hold the door for them
Compliment them
Say I love you
Or even I miss you
And actually mean it
Try your best at comforting them when they’re feeling down
Play their favorite music
Don’t criticize them for things they love
Give them little gifts for no reason at all
Respect them
Don’t belittle their words or them in general
Actually care for them
To the very being of your soul
Knowing that you just won’t be you with them gone
