Quote #9

Who's to say,
What's impossible...?
Well they forgot
This world keeps spinning
And with each new day
I can feel a change in everything
And as the surface breaks reflections fade
But in some ways they remain the same
And as my mind begins to spread its wings
There's no stopping curiosity

Stream of Consciousness

Okay here is something that I learned from the book So You Wanna be a Writer? It's called stream of consciousness. Where for about five minutes, you just write, and not think about anything at all. It's very useful, and for the moment, you don't have to really think about what you are writing.

Well hope this helps, and if you haven't already please enter my writing contest, for more info please go here http://sweetsgalore.blogspot.com/2011/06/writing-contest.html, and remember you don't have to join if you don't want too.

Confession

Dear whomever reads this,
I got a confession to make. If you want to know, please continue read this, and mentally tell me to stop procrastinating and just write down my confession. *Sighs* no time like the present, well my confession is that...
I'm a twin. Yes a bit shocking to you if you don't know me in real life. And no I am not lying to you, it is very true. Well some stuff you might want to know. We're fraternal, looking nothing alike, well we used to before we started changing our haircuts. We're kind of opposite, she is the short one, I am the tall one. She needs to be in special resource, while I'm in the honors system. She has short hair that goes to her shoulders, while I have a pixie cut. And well I suppose that's it. Plus for you curious ones, I'm the one that was born first by five minutes. Well that's all, other then that our names also rhymes, Stacy, Tracy.
 Well see ya,
Stacy N.
P.S if you hadn't done so already, pleas enter my summer contest, for more info please go here http://sweetsgalore.blogspot.com/2011/06/writing-contest.html and please answer my poll if you hadn't had the chance to do so either. Thanks in advance.

Back to the Hunger Games Tonight

I just realized something today- I am now officially addicted to the Hunger Games again. And in my all nighters night, that I did this night/today/a bit confused by what I mean because I didn't get any sleep last night. I found the official hunger games website. Which is awesome, because I just joined the forum, follow them on twitter, like them on Facebook, and also subscribe to them on YouTube. That's how addicted I am for the Hunger Games,  because of my insomnia. Now to figure out a way to do that for the Gone series, joking, joking, or am I. *looks back and forth quickly*. Also during my all nighter, I finally found out how to have moving pictures, which was quite a bit hard, considering I had to go through all these sites, just to finally find one that accepted more than nine pictures. Well back to the point, today I decided to post some lyrics from one of the Hunger Game songs, from YouTube. It was very beautiful, and kind of sad, knowing that it was about Katniss and Peeta, in fact most of the songs are about Katniss and Peeta, kind of a bit annoying.

Back to the Hunger Games Tonight
Tune: Back to December by Taylor Swift
I'm so glad that you saved me

You brought bread to my family
I haven't seen you in a while
I've been sad more worried than ever
Miss your smile, you're wise and your clever
Your guard is up and l know why

'Cause the last time you saw me
They burned in the back of your mind
You were hijacked when I left you there to die

Chorus:
So this is me swallowing my pride,
Standing in front of you saying I'm sorry for that night
And I'd go back to the Hunger Games tonight
It turns out my freedom ain't nothing but missing you
Wishing I'd realized what I had when you were mine
I go back to the Games, turn around and save your life
And I'd go back to the Hunger Games tonight

These days I haven't been sleeping
Staying up playing back myself leaving
When I went numb and I forgot about you
I think about Cinna, all the magnificent times
They watched us passing on the chariot ride
I realized I loved you after all
And then the Quell came, the dark Games when fear crept into my mind
You gave me all your love and all I gave you was goodbye

[Chorus]

I miss your blond hair, your sweet smile, so good to me, so right
And how you held me in your arms in that cave at night,
The first time I let them watch me cry
Maybe this is wishful thinking
Probably mindless dreaming
If we loved again I swear I'd love you right

I'd go back in time and change it but I can't
And if your memory is gone, I understand

[Chorus]

Something Random

Hello guys,
Today's a boring day for me on this hot summer day. My dad still hasn't set up the pool yet, and if he did, I wouldn't really be posting this. At the moment as well as writing this, I'm also on another site http://nyan.cat/ and I've been on it for around 6650 seconds and still counting, because I'm so bored. It's a random site, and a bit addicting, but fun even though you don't really do anything on it. Well as you've may have noticed I've added a poll, on what I should have more of. I would like it very much if you would answer it. Also I would like it if you entered my summer contest, here http://sweetsgalore.blogspot.com/2011/06/writing-contest.html. Some of the prizes include you guest posting on my blog, me guest posting on your blog, and others.
Well I got to go after I post a quick okay/sucky  poem first.

Summer is hot.
Autumn is beautiful.
Winter is cold.
Spring is warm.

Also if you notice the first letter of the line, it says saws. I don't know why I just wrote that, but bye.

~.~ SUMMER ~.~

Today June 21, 2011 is the first day of summer. Yay!! ^_^  even though when I got off from school a couple of weeks ago, it felt as if it was summer, even though it's still spring. Well to the point, I can't post stories/ poems from the book Listen to Me, by Writegirl, because eventually they might find it and sue me. And I had to return it back to the library. Well, instead of that I might just post random book reviews every other week, for a book that I really did read. Not just read it in just a day or two, instead of writing my book. Which I still need to do. Another thing, I might do is probably a couple of contests here and there, if I'm in the mood.

I'm going to ask you viewers, to give me your honest answer. What is your goal for summer, and why? Eventually I'm going to put up a poll, about what I need to change on this sight, and I also want you to give me your honest opinion as well.
signing off,

Happy Father's Day!

Hope everyone and their fathers had an excellent Father's Day. For Father's Day I got my dad a small cake from Smiths, and a card. Which thankfully he liked, if he want to know what I wrote on the card, here it is. It's in Vietnamese, and then I'll translate it in English. Well here it is.

English version:

Dear Father,
Happy Father's Day. Hope you have a
nice day, to relax. Also how's your cake? Well,we just want to say you're a great father, that no one could replace.

Love,
Stacy, Tracy, and Tim

P.S. It's weird because I translated it from English to Vietnamese, because I can't really write in Vietnamese. And then I translated it back to English, and now some of the words changed, that I had to change back. Technology is sure acting up now days.

Apologies

Sorry if my blog offended some of you guys. I really would want to be a vegetarian, but it's kind of hard for me, since my family doesn't get enough veggies and eggs, and fruit for me to actually survive. Well maybe rice, I have a ton of those at home, but I'm not in the mood to eat it plain, 24/7. My last post was not really anti-vegetarians, it was just pointing out why I can't become a vegetarian at the moment. Since there's barely enough of non meatless stuff at home and if I become a vegetarian, I might as well become anorexic, which sucks. Oh how I wish, I found a job by now, so I could just by vegetarian friendly stuff. Also I would never post anti-vegetarian stuff here, because it would offend my friends in real life, really badly. And my viewers that read this.

So sorry again, if my last post offended you. I really do like vegetarians, they're cool. Plus I'm not hinting that I'm the vegetarian hater, I just know a person. If you want to know who he/she is just look at the second quote in random quotes. The name is right there. Also I think I'm slightly close to becoming vegetarian, because I know some terrible stuff that McDonalds do to their chickens. So I'm going to make a deal here, I'm never, ever, going to eat at KFC or McDonalds, or any fast food place because some of them do terrible stuff to their animals. Sorry again for the last time, and also sorry if I'm rambling a bit.

A poem or two from Listen to Me by Writegirl

I was so inspired by this anthology Listen to Me, that I decided that two times a week I'll post a story or a poem in the different categories they have. For example there might be one from their Rants part of the story, or one from the Beyond category. And don't worry, I'm not plagiarizing, I'll give full credit to their work, by citing where I got it. Well hope you enjoy it.

Being
The voice inside
(pg. 31 from the book Listen to Me)
Marylou Raygoza, age 16
I was feeling this exact way when I wrote this poem.

More Than
Inside we yearn
Outside we grin and bear it
Inside we mourn
Outside we mustn’t share it
Inside we lost hope
Outside newfound forgiveness
Inside confusion
Outside we mustn’t love it
Inside we feel
Outside we deal

(pg. 37 from the book Listen to Me)
Tajsheena Curtis, age 16
At the Creative Nonfiction Workshop there were settings with designated titles and themes, i.e. the dining hall, the deserted isle, the mountain, the village, the river. Each theme also had some corresponding questions. When I sat down at the dinner table, one of the questions was, “What do you crave?” When I started writing it was like a confession and a wish to myself.

Crave
I crave to unleash
To live a life
To live every moment freely
Unencumbered
Free from any and all inhibitions
I crave to no longer be afraid of other people
What they say, what they might say
What they think, what they might think
How they react, how they might react
I crave to let go and not care
To pave the way, to make a road
For my creativity
My freedom
My perfection
My happiness.

P.S sorry if I'm being a bit redundant by repeating the title over and over again, it's just that I'm afraid that I might get fined, or even worse sued, by not citing my sources.

Summertime Goals

Its summer (technically it’s still spring, summer doesn’t start till 6/21/11 anyway) and I’ve been out of school for nine days. My days have been filled with reading, and writing, mostly the former. As well as a bunch of other, stuff. I know I should be doing something else, but how could I if I have a bunch of empty slots in my timetable. On Tuesday, I’m going swimming with my friends, not sure, why I wanted to point that out. I can’t really go to any places because I can’t drive a car, or have anyone to take me. My older sister is in Peru, and she’s usually the one taking her siblings out to places, like the zoo, or shopping, or the local amusement park (that is if I can fully convince her to take us sometime). So I decided to make a list of what I want to do in the summer this year, instead of improvising it off, that I usually do every year. Well here, it is…

1.     Write more often.
I have found that I’ve been procrastinating on my writing lately, ever since I found the world of Nano, and Facebook, and well basically much the Internet. Ever since I started getting the internet on my laptop from home, I started to write less, and go online more. So this summer, I decided to hold at least one writing marathon a week, to recharge my writing spirit. It actually works, when I tried it last Thursday.

2.    Finish the first draft of my novel.
This is actually proving easier said, than done, since I started to be in my old writing spirit. But it might just prove to be a bit hard since I can’t always write from sun up to sun down, because I have to have a life outside of writing, right?

3.    Read a ton of books
This is also easier to do, than done, since I tend not to hang out with my friends often, and write a bit less, then I should. >_<

4.    Hang out with my friends a bit more often.
Just to make sure that one of them doesn’t go cut themselves again, or start brushing her fuzzy pillow again. (I know I know I have such random friends).

5.    Blog more often.
I know I know I have slightly been abandoning my blog. The reason is simple though, I haven’t got anything to blog about. Other than the fact that I’m so bored, that I might just start brushing my doggy pillow pet. But I don’t want to be that kind of blogger, always posting how bored I am. So I’ll try to find something to blog about. A contest perhaps?

6.    Possibly volunteer at the library.
Hey, it will look good on my transcript for next year. And my older sister did say volunteer a lot, at different places to get a good spot in colleges/ universities. Also, it will be fun.

7.    Get a summer job.
The reason is simple I need more money.  I can’t always go ask my mom for $5 because then she’ll get angry with me.

8.    Contact some random (not really) author.
I need someone professional to help me with my writing. Thankfully I live in a state that at least has some good authors, like Shannon Hale (that is if she still lives here), and Ally Condie. Both who have written good books.

9.    Organize my room.
It’s pretty clean right now and it’s been that way for weeks. But I don’t want it to become messy again, so during the summer I’ll try to organize it, and hopefully let it stay clean.

10.  Practice my French.
I’m going to practice my French this summer, so at least I’ll be prepared for French 3. And the French 3 teacher is going to be the same teacher I had for French 1. There are two French teachers, the French teacher that I have this year is teaching one French 2 class, and I was lucky (not) to be in it. And I’ll know at least what kind of work she’ll be giving to her French 3 kids, which is to say a ton of work. Hmm, I wonder if I’m going to get a girl pen pal next year…

Well that’s my ten goals for the summer. I’m sorry if I was rambling a bit but hey all great writers do it once in a while. Also, I’m sure that there are probably other goals that I forgot to mention, but I’ll try to remember it later on. As they say, human minds can be very fickle. Well, see ya, and have a great summer.

My new second favorite cookie

I did it. I have found my new second favorite cookie. It's the Afghan cookie from Kiwi Bakery. My town's local bakery located somewhere downtown across the library, and near a good pizza place, Pizza Stop. I have stumbled upon it, when three weeks ago my friend went to Kiwi's bakery to try it out. And do you know the first  thing I bought? It was the Afghan cookie. After going there again today, you can probably guess what I got, the Afghan cookie. Yeah, yeah I know what you're probably thinking I should try the other stuff instead of that cookie, and that's what I'm going to do I swear. Here's a random pic of the Afghan cookie that I found on the internet, though the one I tasted was crunchy, had some nuts inside the cookie, and melt in your mouth chocolate.

P.S for those of you wondering what my first favorite cookie is. It's the classic chocolate chip cookie. Also the next time I go to Kiwi's Bakery and get that cookie, I'll take a picture of it, if I have a camera on me. Hmm, I wonder if my older sister would be willing to let me borrow hers.

A boring Sunday morning

Oh today is just one of those boring Sundays. Since my family doesn't go to church in the mornings, or the afternoons, or any day. It gives me some time to work on my blog, while I think of what to say, when I compose an e-mail to my older sister, that is currently in Peru for helping purposes. And another e-mail to my friend that frankly I don't have time to visit (lack of vehicle transportation), that I have been procrastinating, for a while now.
Well as you may have noticed, I'm currently writing this, while listen to the radio. And I just listened to an inspirational that's not church related. It's Sing it for Japan, by My Chemical Romance. Here's the video for it below.

It's a bit sad if you look at it that way, but hopeful. Also, random fact did you that was Japan's biggest natural catastrophe in the last century. Bigger then the atomic bomb from WWII (well that was actually man made, but still). Hmm, I wonder if this is starting to lead to something, considering what is happening somewhere in the U.S.
Well, let's hope the 12/21/12 thing doesn't happen, or else I might wait a longer while, for Michael Grant to publish his last book in heaven. And none of his Gone fans would want that, would they? Well see ya. And don't forget to sing it for Japan.

Random quotes

Today is the last day of school for the 8th graders at my school. It was fun, it was one of the only days where we can wonder around, go to the classes we want to go into without getting into trouble. And it always happens on the last week of school. Well since I was bored, I asked my friends some random quotes. And I am sorry if it offends you in anyway. Please go blame them, and not me.

P.S, sorry to my other friends, whom I didn't ask for random quotes. Also sorry if I spelled your name wrong,  or kind of gotten the quote mixed up.

I got a secret to tell ya

Dear peoples,
I have a secret to tell ya. I'M NOT PERFECT. And I don't need to be, since I'm perfectly happy being imperfect. Sure on the outside, I'm nice, sweet, bubbly, and maybe obedient. While there's a side that I don't show others much. I'm actually a bit mean, lazy, don't really organize much, and as far as a teen goes, a natural procrastinator. So as they say don't judge to much on the outside of a book, till you really get to know what's it's about.
Perfectionism is a dangerous state of mind in an imperfect world. ~ Robert Hillyer
