Text reads: hello 2014. Picture source Birds |
To the person who is reading this right now. Happy New Year’s, even if it
is a day late. And just know that you have 364 days left in the year, so make
the best of it. Even if the days are filled with dread, longing, sadness, or
some other kind of negativity, just know that it won’t last forever.
Also, let’s hope that 2014 will be an amazing year. Filled with learning
more about yourself, growing up as a person, and all the eagerly anticipated
events that should be coming out this year, like books, movies, and television
shows. And just remember that there will always be at least one person who loves you,
even if you don’t love yourself at the moment.
Now a look at what I’ve decided my resolutions for this year will be. And a hope that I will accomplish at least four of them.
- For three or four times a week, write for at least 15 minutes.
- Save money.
- Find a job.
- Volunteer.
- Turn in at least one scholarship application.
- Study for the ACTs.
- Read at least twenty-four books this year.
- Work harder in school
- Get my driver’s license.
- Once a week, write a random sentence in French.
- Write a blog post on my little talks, at least once per month.
- For once a week, do something nice for someone else. Even if it is pretty small.
- Take better care of myself.
- Help out around the house more often.
