Hello 2018

I'm not going to lie, I'm a mess. And I'm still going to be a mess by the end of this year. However, I'm still going to try to make some goals this year. They're not necessarily resolutions because New Year's resolutions I feel like you have to change yourself completely and it almost feels inflexible, plus its also pretty cliché. Goals, on the other hand, can be made anytime, it's flexible, and not as wordy.
So here are some of my goals for this year:
  • Be more honest with myself. After doing a lot of thinking these past few days, I've realized that part of the reason why I've been unhappy, especially as 2017 drew to a close was that I haven't been entirely honest with myself. Not with how was I feeling, not with what I really wanted, nor with what I expected out of myself and others. So, I'm going to try to be more honest with myself and actually make an effort to find the cause of my unhappiness and do something about it instead of letting it run.
  • Read for pleasure for fifteen minutes a day. I need to remember why I chose to surround myself with books, why did I choose to become an English major in the first place. And that can't be done if I'm constantly reading what other people want me to read.
  • Drink at least eighty fluid ounces of water every day. I just want a healthier body and water is one great way of achieving that.
  • Blog at least once a month. I know I always make this goal every single year, but this year I'm actually going to try. I've learned that it's easier to do something if you plan it. For this goal, in particular, that means actually thinking of content, making the time to draft it, edit it, and then posting it. And that could take a while. However, I will do my best to try.
Ther are of course other goals, but they're more personal. Plus, these are the ones that I'm more likely to work on throughout the year if I remember them of course.

How about you? What are your goals that you want to work on throughout the year? Is there a particular one that you always make every year?

Goodbye 2017

Looking back, I viewed 2017 in a negative light. And I was right to a certain extent. Trump proved to be a jackass by banning trans people from enlisting in the military (thankfully that's been repealed). Threatening some Vietnamese immigrants with deportation even though they're protected under an agreement made back in 2008 between the U.S. and Vietnam that allows those who came to the U.S. before 1995 to stay even if they have deportation orders. As well as, taking away the DACA program, and other measures. It also didn't help that 2016 wasn't a good year for me personally, so that helped shape my view of what I thought 2017 was going to be.
However, this year I learned a lot. I learned about the incredible solidarity and human empathy people can have for each other. I learned just how powerful money can speak in this world, whether it's used for good or bad. And how small and kind of pity my problems are in the grand scheme of the universe, and how humbling that is.
2017 was a year of growth and getting better (or at least trying). Whether it was drinking more water, trying out the bullet journal system, finding out my sleep schedule, getting out of my comfort zone, etc. Overall, trying to find out what works for me and what didn't.
I've also had a lot of amazing opportunities this year from being an editor over at the Stay Bookish zine (link) to being a treasurer for AASA. From being a secretary for VASA to being an unexpected dog owner. And honestly, yes it's a lot of hard work and quite stressful at times, but it's been pretty fun, and I wouldn't trade in those experiences for anything else in the world.
To be honest, I didn't expect myself to travel quite a bit more this year. Whether it was to Arizona, Washington, or even Colorado where along the way I've met quite a medley of people who still help me continue to grow to this day. I've also met an interesting group of people in Utah and connected more with some of the people I've already known.
And I know that it sounds cheesy when I say that I wouldn't change anything (well maybe a few parts, I'm still a bit of a perfectionist) but overall, it's been a good year for me personally. Yeah, there are a few bumps along the way, and truth be told I'm not in the greatest place mentally right now, but I still wouldn't trade it in for anything the whole world, even Hamilton tickets. Hopefully, 2018 will be just as okay.

Forth of July

Here you go, enjoy a series of videos, while I go into the background and think about what freedom really is, the cost of said freedom, and the millions of people who have been affected by the choices that make up the United States today (Native Americans and blacks in particular.)

Listening to this makes me wonder about the term "honorary white," some Asian American privileges that I have, and my role in the complicated race relations of the U.S.

2017, I hope you're a better year than 2016 but I doubt that will happen. Everything needs to dip down because good things can't last forever. However, bad things can't last forever either, so it needs to rise up eventually before going back down and then up and then down and then up. But hopefully, in the bigger picture progress will be made in an uphill direction.

Also, ever year I realize how much the world sucks. And how it seems like that no matter what happens terrible events are going to occur. Another police officer shoots an unarmed black person that ends up on the news; somewhere in the Middle East is another shooting and the news won't say anything about it until kids are involved and badly injured; police are going to use unjust force on protestors (which will most likely happen during inauguration day at least); something terrible will happen around reproductive justice (specifically concerning limiting access to abortion); something terrible will also happen around the LGBTQIA+ group (another bill that limits their rights? another shooting?); something involving terrorism will happen; Trump is going to say and/or do something dumb and offensive; etc. And it's sad and people will do their thing they do best which is just liking a post/picture/tweet (maybe changing their facebook profile picture) without actually doing anything about it.

However, this year I'll do my best and donate to charities and organizations that will actually help those in need and those who've been affected by the terrible tragedy that will happen. It may not be much because I am a broke college student but every penny does add up. I'll also try my best and post about terrible events* to make you guys aware of it and post some links so you can help support them too. Also, I'll try to catch myself saying or thinking problematic things more often and actually learn about why it's bad and do my best to not repeat the mistake again. And I'll try to be more vocal on matters that are important to me because nothing is going to be done if I'm silent on it. Plus, silence does add to the problem. And hopefully, I write more for at least fifteen minutes every day or every other day because it is fun to do when I'm not stuck in the boggy middle.
Well, I've unintentionally made some New Year's resolutions, here's to hoping that I actually do follow up on it.

What are your New Year's resolutions or do you just make promises that you don't care if you keep up on or not? Do you see life with the glass half empty or half filled or both? Also, are you glad that it's finally a new year or are you kind of nervous to see what terrible things will happen or both?

Goodbye 2016

Funny how a lot can happen in a year, I’m officially in my twenties; I ended up liking someone that I think I have a chance of dating (if only we weren’t so nerdy and studied all the time);  I’m socializing more and I don't feel as drained when I'm finished hanging out with them; I find myself writing creatively more often outside of November; I’m blogging more this year; my Vietnamese is getting a bit better; I got a tattoo; I’m happier, sadder, more scared, and angry because of world events like the Pulse club shooting, Trump’s election, and Aleppo*; my grandma unfortunately died; I didn’t end up participating in Nanowrimo this year due to personal reasons (*coughcoughcollegeworkandfinalsandallthatcoughcough*); and I find myself more involved in college groups like the undergraduate literary magazine at my school.

It feels good and weird and sad knowing how much I've done this year and how much I haven't done. And it's hard to know if I did accomplish my New Year's resolution this year. I mean being a better person is pretty vague, but I think I did become a slightly better person. I mean I'm better at catching myself whenever I think or say problematic stuff, though I still need a lot of work. It's also harder to feel happy considering everything that has happened both personally and around the world. And honestly, I think it's just going to go down from here before getting a bit better. But my little optimistic side can't help but feel glad that a new year is coming because it means that this year is finally coming to an end.

Sorry for being a downer. Have a good one and let's hope that next year won't suck as much.

Hello 2016

Text reads: Hello 2016
I fail at keeping my New Year’s resolutions. Every year I only actually complete one or two resolutions. A few I kind of completed. The rest have decided to not follow me out for the rest of that year.
Each year I try to be more SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, Timely) . But I still don’t do most of my resolutions anyways. Maybe it has to deal with the fact that I’m a big procrastinator. Maybe it also has to deal with the fact that some of my New Year’s resolutions requires resources that I don’t have enough money for. And maybe it also deals with the fact that there are a few circumstances that will set me back all the way to negative five hundred and I have to start all over again. Well whatever the reason, those resolutions just don’t get completed.
And honestly by now, I stopped caring. From now on I’m going to let fate decide my course. And whatever happens, happens. However, there will always be specific situations where I determine my own course and I decide to go all for it. No matter what it takes. All the while, I’m going to follow one New Year’s resolution this year, and that is: be a better person.
Whether it’s by complimenting a person; controlling my temper at home after dealing with the stresses of work and customers; smiling at someone; forgiving myself for mistakes; learning more about the world around me; etc.
It should be simple in theory, but really hard to do in reality. So I hope I survive this year.
Have a great year, or at least, a tolerable one. And Happy New Year’s!

Goodbye 2015

Text reads: Goodbye 2015
Dear last year,
Goodbye 2015. It has been a crazy ride from graduating high school to starting college. To getting my first part-time job to visiting my family in California that I haven’t seen in forever. From unexpected lows to unbelievable highs. And all the in-betweens. It’s been one weird year that I will surely not forget in a while.
So thank you. Without that year, I wouldn’t have grown as a person.

A late Valentine's Day post

Despite the fact that it's one day late, I wanted to wish everyone a Happy Valentine's Day. And I hope you had a pretty okay day, spent with someone you love. Whether it's your romantic partner, family, friends, or yourself.
I also wanted to share some videos with you guys that deal with Valentine's Day. So I hope you enjoy it.

The first video I'm going to share is a short little video about the cute awkward love between a panda and a bunny.

The second video that I'm going to share is Neon Tree's Mad Love

And the last video that I'm going to share with you guys is Ted Fu's speech for all those single people out there.

Hello 2015

Text reads: hello 2015
Happy New Year, even though it’s one day late. I tried to get this posted on January 1, but I ended up sleeping all day, and then when I woke up I cleaned the kitchen floor. After that, I went ice skating with my sisters, getting a bite to eat afterwards. So by the time I came home it was around ten. However, I had to deal with a dead mouse, which somehow ended up under my desk. Once that was dealt with, came the attempt to multitasking. So right now, I’m reading One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel García Márquez for my English class, catching up on unread blog posts, writing this blog post, and coming up with New Year’s Resolutions for this year.

Generally every year for New Years, I stay up and watch the ball drop on TV. However, a few minutes before midnight strikes I look over my resolutions and see what went wrong, what went right, and what I should improve on next year so I can actually do it. And then a few minutes after midnight I work on my New Year's resolutions.

However, I sometimes end up at other New Years events, like the downtown Salt Lake celebration. Or I just end up watching random videos with my older sister. So I would generally write my resolutions afterwards. However, I didn't do it this year.

Instead of writing down my New Year’s resolutions sometime in the early morning hours, when it’s still dark, I ended up writing it an hour before the new day ends. The main reason is because I have been procrastinating more often, lately. Maybe because I finally contracted the senioritis virus that hits almost every high school senior. But, I eventually do what it is that I’m supposed to do.

So without further ado, here is an unabridged version of my 2015 New Year's Resolutions.

Work out once a week for 15 minutes.
It’s a typical exercise resolution that almost everybody makes once in their lifetime. And there are a variety of reasons of why a person would make it in the first place. For me, it’s because I want to be in shape, especially if there are any zombie apocalypses in my lifetime. It also helps during the skiing season, because I won’t feel so sore the next day. Plus I feel happier when I exercise. Though that doesn’t mean that I’m still any less awkward.

Read at least 24 books this year.
Ever since I moved, the number of books that I have read has gone down. Because I have been getting more and more distracted, mainly because of harder schoolwork. So it would take me a little while to read a book. It also doesn’t help much that I’m not within walking distance of a library and that my school library has a small (but ever growing) variety of books. So, I’m going to try to read more ebooks this year. Even though I’m not a giant fan of them, but I will tolerate them.

Love myself a teensy bit more.
This will be a slightly hard one. I never really hated my body but I’ve tolerated with it all these years. But there are still a few flaws that I’m just not happy with. So this year I’m going to try to find some good about them.

Take more selfies.
They’re fun to take. Plus it’s something to do when I get bored. And it’s a simple reminder that I love myself and that I think I’m pretty.

Sleep before midnight, especially on breaks.
Lately, I’ve had a bad habit of staying up way too late on non-school nights. To the point where I now get up past eleven o’clock in the morning. Which kind of disappoints me because I’m missing the quietness that morning offers. As well as Saturday morning cartoons. Plus it’s scary knowing that I’m spending half the day in sleep. So this year, I want to sleep before midnight, with only one exception and that is New Year’s Eve. And I want to try getting up around nine in the morning on weekends and on breaks. So in order to do this, it means setting up an alarm on the weekends and during the break. Though there is a small chance that this will not work at all, because I adore sleep too much.

Procrastinate less often
There is a highly small chance that I will actually stop procrastinating. So I’m going to try to make myself procrastinate less often this year. To do this I’m going to be stricter on myself and not be so lenient when using the chrome extension stayfocused. As in, I’ll use it more often. Because it really does help. But for the phone, I’ll be using focus lock, an android app that locks certain apps for a bit of time, and then you get a break. However, I’m not sure if I can resist the temptation of stories and television this year.

Be more organized
My desk and bookshelf and school binder has become a mess once more. And the problem is, I don’t clean my desk or bookshelf often. So this year, I plan to spend at least one day of the week to organize my desk. As well as take a few pictures of it, so I can inspire myself to continue making my desk clean. I also plan to create a rough study schedule. This will hopefully help me procrastinate less often. As well as organize my time, and help me not freak out and worry so much about what I need to study next.

Write once a week for at least fifteen minutes.
I love writing. It’s the reason why I do NaNoWriMo every year, why I continue blogging (even after long breaks), do writing challenges that aren’t Nanowrimo and fail at it, and lead me to choose an English major when I reach college. However, I don’t write often. Or at least write more often for fun. Which affects my writing. And in my opinion, making it worse. Even though, I know every writer goes through a period that they cringe at later because they were pretty bad. So, for once a week for at least fifteen minutes, I’ll write a story of some sorts. This is easier than writing a full blown novel, because I never finish those. Plus, I like writing short stories because it’s easier for me to finish. And it gives me a chance to use some aus that I have been saving.

Blog at least once a month
Despite that long break and not really missing blogging, I still like it. I like having the chance to put my thoughts out there, in the hopes that at least one person will listen. And I like finding other people who has the same interests as me. Blogging has helped me open my mind and grow as a person. And I want to continue blogging as well as be more involved in the blogging community, by commenting more often on other blogs. So at least once a month, I’ll post something on here. Whether it’s a video that I like, something that I’ve written, a topic that I want to share to the world, etc. And hopefully, I can post more than once a month if schoolwork isn’t that heavy.

Review this list once a week
How can I do the things on my 2015 New Year's Resolutions list if I don't remember them?

Also, I hope that this year will be a better year than last year. I hope that you guys feel happy about yourselves, if not that at least okay. I also hope that you don't forget to be awesome (DFTBA).

And now the weather:
Meaning behind the song:
“Cool Kids,” …  tells the story of a boy and girl who just want to be noticed, hinging on the lines: “I wish that I could be like the cool kids/’Cause all the cool kids, they seem to fit in.”
Jamie says the message of the song is simple: the coolest thing you can be is yourself. But more often than not, fans tell the band that they relate to the kids they’re singing about. That they feel like the outsider looking in.
“This cry to be like the cool kids… it’s something that everyone kind of goes through whether you want to act like it or not,” Jamie said. “There’s always somebody out there that you kind of wish, ‘If only I could do this, or do that.’ I think that’s why it connects with people so well.”

Goodbye 2014

Text reads: goodbye 2014
2014 seems like forever ago. But now it’s the very last day of the year and I’m surprised to feel this kind of sadness in my heart. Despite all the turmoil that’s been going on in my life as well as around the world, I kind of liked it. I was happy. But that seems kind of incomparable to all the sadness, stress, worry, tiredness, procrastination, anger, and bad mistakes that I made this year. But like any human being, I learned from them, to a certain extent.
I learned to never date guys who aren’t feminists. I learned that it is definitely better to keep the mean stuff to yourself instead of saying it to another person (because that can cause a lot of trouble). I learned that putting on makeup is a very hard thing to do, except for lipstick. I learned that I like ballroom dancing and analyzing what I’m reading and the book Crime and Punishment. I learned that I still like writing romantic stuff. I learned that saying thank you can go a long way. I learned that I really like skiing. I also learned that selfies are quite fun. I also learned that it’s sometimes better to go with the flow, to avoid conflict. I also learned to like myself a bit more. And despite everything, I shouldn’t be too hard on myself because I’m growing up and still learning about everything around me. (Yet, that will probably not stop me from being too hard on myself). There are of course other things that I learned, but I’m not willing to indulge in those.
2014 has also been a year of wants. Wanting to change my look. Wanting to cuddle with someone. Wanting justice to be served. Wanting to stop being sad. Wanting to be empty. Wanting something, anything.
And in general 2014 has just been a bad year, a progressive year, a year full of new music, a year about learning more about myself, and a kind of good year.
And despite a few bad bumps along the way, this year was worth it. Though, I don’t think I did well on my New Year’s Resolutions for this year. But from looking at the list, I think I did pretty okay.
  • For three or four times a week, write for at least 15 minutes.
  • Save money.
  • Find a job.
  • Volunteer.
  • Turn in at least one scholarship application.
  • Study for the ACTs.
  • Read at least twenty-four books this year.
  • Work harder in school
  • Get my driver’s license.
  • Once a week, write a random sentence in French.
  • Write a blog post on my little talks, at least once per month.
  • For once a week, do something nice for someone else. Even if it is pretty small.
  • Take better care of myself.
  • Help out around the house more often.
Note: bold means that I kind of did it. And strikethrough means that I actually did it.

A new year but not exactly a new me just yet

To the person who is reading this right now. Happy New Year’s, even if it is a day late. And just know that you have 364 days left in the year, so make the best of it. Even if the days are filled with dread, longing, sadness, or some other kind of negativity, just know that it won’t last forever.
Also, let’s hope that 2014 will be an amazing year. Filled with learning more about yourself, growing up as a person, and all the eagerly anticipated events that should be coming out this year, like books, movies, and television shows. And just remember that there will always be at least one person who loves you, even if you don’t love yourself at the moment.
Now a look at what I’ve decided my resolutions for this year will be. And a hope that I will accomplish at least four of them.
  • For three or four times a week, write for at least 15 minutes.
  • Save money.
  • Find a job.
  • Volunteer.
  • Turn in at least one scholarship application.

Another goodbye post, but this time to the year 2013.

Text reads: goodbye 2013
2013 has been almost a surreal year for me, from saying goodbye to some of my friends for the last time to seeing the Jazz win the basketball game against the Charlotte Bobcats, with a lot of things happening before that and in between. It was also the year where I started to appreciate myself more. And say hey, I am pretty even though I may not look like it according to society’s standard. Even though, society’s standard on beauty and many other things are impossible to accomplish, in my opinion.
This was also the year when I started to really learn how unfair the world is. But at the same time how beautiful it is as well. The world is unfair because there are a bunch of male politicians who does not own vaginas, making rules about how women should operate their body. Or how bad the United States education system is. But at the same time the world is beautiful because of all the little things that people do to make it better for someone else. And how, beautiful street art and many other various forms of art are. And there’s probably more, but that can be in an another post next year.
2013 was also the year when indecision really set in making me question about what I really want to do with my future. Do I really want to become a published author? Do I really want to have a major in business/accounting? Do I really want to stay in the middle of every little thing, constantly swaying this way or that?
It was also an unlucky year for my writing. As stories and poetry seemed unwilling to enter my brain, much alone my fingers. However, if they were written down, it was most likely for school or forced out in an unnatural way. In fact, the only exception to this was nanowrimo, and that turned out pretty well. But since it is now the end of the year, I’m slowly trying to produce something new. Which turns out to be poetry that’s mainly about someone else in my life.
This was also a fun year, by going to places that I would not expect myself to end up at. Like the zoo in winter or even to a bookstore with a creepy basement. Or to many other places that has happened by random. I also didn’t expect myself to do some unexpected things like watch random chick flicks on television all because I was bored or even ask anyone to go to the winter formal with me. (It was also pretty surprising when he said yes).
And well, 2013 turned out to be an awesome year.  Sure there was some pain and anger and emptiness with a dash of creepiness mixed in. Also add in the fact that there was some other negativity involved. However, that cannot be avoided no matter how hard I try to avoid it. Plus there was also all the smiles, laughter, joy, happiness, and relaxation, as well as all the other positivity to take into account.
So, all in all, I hope that 2014 will be a better and hopefully even more amazing year, however stressful it will be.
And now the final results of my New Year’s resolutions from earlier this year.
*bold - I have done it for a short while.
  • Write two sentences every day- one sentence that is fictional and story like (to help inspire me to write stories/poetry). The other sentence, will describe what I did during the day (to reflect and to remember it in the future [just in case]) [That went well for the first half of the year]
  • Finish writing a book or two [this year hasn't been well for my writing]
  • Help around the house more often.
  • Learn how to drive.
  • Get my driver’s license
  • Do one active ‘exercise’ at least once a week. (I’m pretty sure that I will fail this one, but it’s good to try anyways)
  • Read at least 52 books (a book per week) [I ended up reading at least 41]
  • For at least once a week, write a post on Sweets Galore.
  • Design a new theme for my blog
  • Figure out the why-did-I-choose-this-name behind the name Sweets Galore.
  • Work harder in school
  • Apply for at least one scholarship this year.
  • Once a week, do something nice for somebody. [In truth, I haven’t really kept track]

One, Two, Three, Four, and Five

  1. I’m not dead, but I haven’t really been posting much. The main reason for this was because I didn’t really have anything to say.  Homework or tumblr or reading or some other thing would distract me. And when I did find myself having the words to say something on my blog, I usually don’t post it, because it might not appeal to you guys or it’s too private (and probably a bit embarrassing) to say.
  2. Pride and Prejudice (both the book and the movie), The Lizzie Bennet Diaries, and Doctor Who are the main things that I’m fangirling over right now.  And, I’ve just saw the new episode of Doctor Who yesterday on my older sister’s TV (with my brother distracting me here and there) and I’m still a bit confused as to who Clara is. And why she doesn’t have a clue about the last time she and the Doctor met, when they met again on the new episode.
  3. Tomorrow is the first day of Camp Nanowrimo and I have an idea for what I want to do. It will involve writing a web diary from the view of a fifteen about to be sixteen year old girl. She’ll write about her life and her kind-of-weird dreams. If you’re interested in following her, go to her blog at everybodytalksbutme.blogspot.com, where she’ll try to post at least once a week (or if I remember).
  4. I’m participating in the 2013 PAD (poem-a-day) challenge by Writer’s Digest, and I might occasionally post a poem on my writing blog (or here). I’m going to hope that I can survive doing two writing challenges in the same month and still finish both of them.
  5. It’s also currently spring break for me, and so far it involved going to Costco, eating an omelet at the Original Pancake House, and seeing an improv show that deals with stool.
P.S. Have a great Easter to those of you who do celebrate it. However, if you don't celebrate it, than have a good Sunday or Monday (depending on where you are in the world).

Goodbye 2012

2012, in a way, felt like the shortest year for me. In fact, all I can really remember about it is the 'end of the world', Kony, too much time on tumblr, writing, reading, and my birthday. However, I also remember other bits and pieces of 2012 as well, such as the time in my ninth grade English class that my teacher made us sit in a circle to talk about Night by Elie Wiesel. I also remember other memories of that ninth grade English class, however the memories seem to be a bit more recent, meaning that I cannot remember much before 2012 started.

The same thing happens to other non-2012 memories as well; they soon are forgotten as newer memories start to bury them even deeper into the vast contents of my brain. The memories become dusty, having a very small chance of ever being remembered again. The only way, I (or anybody really) can remember forgotten memories is if they are recorded in some way. Whether it may be a journal that I wrote, someone else remembering it, one of my yearbooks, pictures, etc. And it doesn’t matter if it is the most amazing memory that I would remember forever or the most horrible memory that I will kick out of my mind, if I had the chance.

This leads me to my next point of ‘conversation’. For all 365 days of 2013, I shall write two sentences. One sentence will be completely fictional and story like, it’s to help encourage me to write stories whether it is on paper or in the brain. The other sentence will describe my day, so I can remember my life. The reason for this is simply to remember my life, so I can draw inspiration from it as I write my stories. Plus, I think it will be fun in a way, as I laugh on the last day of 2013, about some of the silly things I will do in the upcoming year. And it also might help me accomplish my 2013 New Year’s resolutions.

Speaking of New Year resolutions, remember that post that has some of my 2012 resolutions. Well, it now ended up looking like this.

*bold - I have done it for a short while.
  • Write everyday (Camp Nanowrimo counts in my book)
  •    Read everyday (read at least 90 books this year) (only read 79 out of 90 books)
  •    Get on the internet less often
  •    Spend more time with family (mainly because the internet started to get a bit boring)
  •    Sleep at a normal time
  •    Eat healthier
  •    Learn how to drive
  •   Write on my blog nearly every day
  •   Work harder in school (pretty self-explanatory here)
  •    Stop procrastinating
  •    Do something active (it was mainly for school).
  •   Write a complete novel (before June 30)  (Immortality Doesn't Exist)
Well, I feel a bit ashamed to say that I only completed two of them, and kind of did four of them throughout the year. However, it is better than not completing a single one, in my opinion. Hopefully, next year will be better.

Happy New Years to the people on the other side of the world and Happy New Years eve to everyone who’s time zone hasn’t reached or passed 12 AM. And have a year that you at least like.

Merry Christmas. ^.^

source
Have an amazing Christmas, you guys. ^.^
And I truly hope that you enjoy the gifts that you have received today, whether they are practical or impractical in some way.

Also, I know that this may be a bit late, but Happy Hanukkah as well. And Happy Kwanzaa as well.

However, if you do not celebrate any of these holidays, then I must say, have an amazing December 25, kind of day.

Also, don't forget that not everyone is heartless.

My novel cover

As far as rewriting Immortality Doesn't Exist, goes, it's definitely... interesting. The book right now is in a way darker than the original. And I like that, because it's more interesting to write now.
Speaking of IDE being a bit darker than the original, I got a new cover for it, to fit with the book. And it looks like this...
It was made by a cover artist on the Nanowrimo forums (the main one), named takecare.
And, I would say more about it but I have to go catch up on my word count before the cooking starts for Thanksgiving. Plus, I'm curious about what you think about it. Comment below, and if you already have a cover for your novel, I'm curious to see what it looks like. So if you want, show it to me.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving to the Americans that are reading this. And have a regular day/night for the non-Americans. Also, if you are doing Nanowrimo.. WRITE!

The 24th of July

*Knows this is a two days late, couldn’t put it up the other day because she was tired*

If you live in a four-corner state with a salty little lake aka Utah, then you already know why the 24th of July is an important day for us Utahans. If you don't live in Utah or in the United States or even on Earth, then for you the 24th of July is just another regular summer/winter day. While for Utah, it was Pioneer Day where we celebrate the first Mormon Pioneers that came into Utah after getting kicked out of a couple of other states. It’s kind of like July 4, only it’s a smaller, one state version. And since it is a holiday there was a parade, fireworks, and other festivities in between.
