How to reach fifty thousand words: take a few hours off and write roughly seven thousand words. All the while getting distracted from the nanowrimo forums and avoid tumblr all together during this time. And eat lots of tootsie rolls along the way. However, that only works if you’re me. If you’re someone else than the conditions will most likely not apply and you will probably end up losing or winning. It all depends on how many words you have left to write.

Also, try to not get distracted on day eighteen to yesterday. All because of schoolwork, plain laziness, and a guy with great hair who takes you out on a date to go see the Ender’s Game movie. But, do have the determination and courage to finish your novel. After all there are over a billion stories, but at least one of them is uniquely yours.

And feel sad because nanowrimo is over, but at the same time feel relieved because it’s finally over.

NaNoWriMo 2012 is officially over.

Nanowrimo, where you attempt to write fifty thousand words in the month of November. Or if you are on the YWP version, it is when you try to write how many ever words you have set as your word goal. Many writers try, either winning but not completing their novel or they actually do finish writing their novel, while others lost due to some circumstances. But at least they had the guts to do the event because not many people would actually do Nanowrimo.

So, I want to say congrats to all those who actually did the Nanowrimo event. It doesn’t matter if you won or not, because you still had the guts to do it. And not many people do. I am honestly proud of you guys because you now have written a unique plot filled with characters doing normal to crazy things. You spread the magic of words around. And you guys actually had the motivation to do it. It doesn’t matter if you had a small word count or a large one; you still managed to create a story.

And that is what the world needs. Stories have given readers understanding, hope, and/or a place to get away from reality. Without them, than reality will be a boring place to live in.

Have a nice day/night, and don’t forget to keep on writing no matter what.

My words are in print! ^.^

A package came for me yesterday. 

I blacked out some of the important info (address/tracking number) because I don’t want people to stalk me/send me strange things.

The package came from one of the four UPS vans/trucks that I saw yesterday. Inside the package was something that I was waiting for, for thirteen long days: my books from createspace, Morceux.

I just know there were stories I wanted to tell.

All it took for me to get the books was a lot of time to edit, procrastinating, and of course waiting. As well as some anger, stress, feeling like I can't breathe at certain times, and of course winning Nanowrimo 2011 to get the code for the five free proof copies.

The reason why it took so long to get here was because of me putting off the whole publishing thing till the last minute (not the last minute, last minute which was June 30) just a day or two away from June 30. Then of course, there was July Fourth and the weekend (UPS workers are like nearly every other working American, they don't work on holidays or the weekend). This took a little longer and instead of them delivering the books on June 10, as they were supposed to. My package went on a short vacation to another state. It explains why I didn't like UPS the other day... but now I like them again today. ^.^

I'm not going to publish Morceux if you were wondering. Considering that most of the stories and poems (mostly stories), still needs to be thoroughly edited (doing it once is not enough in the writing world). Plus there are some other issues with it... And I doubt that anyone will actually buy it if I did publish it. But who cares? It’s nice to know that I have the only five (now four) copies of the book Morceux in the whole world. However, I’m planning to send it to my friends/family soon, leaving me with only one or two copies left.
