If you caught the reference to my old blog name (Sweet's Galore), you know you've been here too long but thank you for still staying with me and hopefully you'll still stay. Thinking back, this blog has gone through a lot of phases, the random middle school years, my high school years of book reviews and trying to deal with personal issues, and my current college years that seem to lean more towards social justice and feminist issues, with bits of my writing are sprinkled here and there. My blog has also changed a lot from Blogspot's standard themes to themes that I found on the internet to themes that I now personally make. And of course, there was that name change. I've also updated how I've written my blog posts to the style that you now commonly see. But throughout it all, my little talks has remained the same. It's still a blog written by me about anything but not everything. Whether that anything is about books, my writing, feminist issues, what's going on in my life, or whatever happens to be on my mind. And hopefully, it still stays like that for another six years.
Also, holy crap six years! Thank you to you guys (and my want to give myself a voice through my writing) I would not be here. Honestly, readers, viewers, just some kind of an audience in general is part of why I still continue blogging. Because no matter what I say, I know I always have at least one person listening and that's the most comforting thing in the world.

Five years. 486 posts. One extreme makeover. One blog. One author. A few hiatuses. A few more future hiatuses. One determination to continue posting for as long as it takes. One thank you for all of those who stuck with me for however long you’ve been reading this blog. One toast that this blog will hopefully survive another five years. And one happy birthday my little talks, where without you life would be vastly different and a little boring.
Dear my little talks,
On January 8, 2011 you were officially born. Four years and two days later, you're still here despite all the ups and downs and the changes that you've gone through. And I have to thank you, for being the best blog that I've ever had. So let's hope that you're still here four years into the future.
Love,
Stacy N.
Dear everyone who's reading this,
Whether you're a follower, a reader, or even a viewer, I would like to thank you guys. Mainly for sticking around and helping me grow this blog to where it is right now. Honestly, if it weren't for you guys, I would have given up blogging a while ago. So, thank you again.
Have an amazing day or night.
A week ago it was New Year’s. Two weeks ago it was Christmas. Making
today pale in comparison because those two are major holidays, while today it
is not. It is nothing more than a normal day. And it’s simply another Wednesday.
In fact, it’s the 8th of January. My blog’s third birthday. This is surprising, because it’s lasted so long. Normally, I would have
given this up and go do something else. But there’s something about this blog
that keeps on pulling me back. Like there’s a colored string of fate, with one
end tied to my finger and the other end tied to this blog. And no matter how hard
I try to cut the string, it simply won’t cut. Sure it may weaken, when I neglect
it for some short amount of time, but it still would not cut. And the main
reason, is because I still like blogging.
I like writing out random words that connect together in some kind of
comprehensible way. I like knowing that there is at least one person reading
said words. I like how I’m slowly learning more about myself. I like the
community. I like designing new blog themes. I like having one place to post my
thoughts that I deem good enough to show to the public. I like learning more
about everything around me. I like how I can connect with a wider audience from
all around the world. But, I like how I’m doing it all for me. I’m not trying
to impress anyone, but myself.
However, if it weren't for you guys still reading this, and dealing with
my odd, quiet, [insert another adjective that you deem fit] self, I probably
would have given up a long time ago. So thank you. And let’s hope that this
year will be better in terms of me blogging more often and with content that
matters in some way. But as Augustus Waters said in his letter to Van Houten: The marks humans leave are too often scars.
And I don’t want to leave any scars but-
It's been about a month since the New Year has started, and already I
broke one my resolutions. For at
least once a week, write a post on Sweets Galore. As you guys may have noticed, I have not been doing
that at all. A roll of excuses about my absence could fall off my head and land
onto my hands to be typed out. And they would all be true, however would I really
mean it when I say sorry and try to attempt to go back to that particular New
Year’s resolution? The answer, my dear readers, is no.
I won’t really mean it if I apologized about ‘abandoning’ my blog and not
abiding to that particular resolution, because that sentence wouldn’t feel true.
However, I am a bit sorry that I have not been posting lately. My head does not
want to keep on having to invent new post ideas every single week, it, as well
as I, would like to have some time away from the blogging world to do our own
thing, which is living life.
However, I am a bit sorry whenever a perfect opportunity to blog passes
by. Simply because I don’t have the time or energy or it may have slipped from
my mind, for me to actually go onto BlogSpot and type the whole thing down. A perfect example of this would be my blog’s
birthday, which turned two on January 8th of this year.
So to make up for it, I am going to post four videos that I like right
now.
One is a book trailer for a book that I have recently reread.
It's been one year, since I've had this blog. One year, since I started posting writing, pictures, quotes, and well random stuff. And so for my blog's one year anniversary, I shall post a song, and one of my earlier posts. One that, I probably won't really remember writing, but enjoyed reading it.
Well here it goes...
I sit on my bed, trying hard not to think about all the good times I've had, with him. I try so hard, that my head ended up hurting badly. But I couldn't do it for long. Nostalgia hits me cold like the flu. Memory, after memory of us together, makes me long for the past. Makes me wish that nothing would change, and end up like things right now. A teardrop starts dropping onto my shirt, first one, and now two, four, and five. I don't care. All I care about is him. The one guy that would make my heart race, and make the butterflies in my stomach flutter pleasantly. But most of all he's the only that knows the real me.
I keep on remembering forbidden memories of him. Especially the last memory. Where we didn't say things that was supposed to be said. Where we misinterpreted each other. Where I saw who he really was. However, I still miss him, still wishing he would just deny it all, and just choose me. But none of that, won't make him call; will make me stop waiting for the phone to ring. The tears start increasing, my heart starts throbbing. My brain wishing it could explode from all of the raw nostalgia. But that won't make me stop, waiting. Till the day ends. Till he realizes that, he's supposed to be mine. Till I die waiting for him…
It's so... not like me right now. I can't believe I was like that, when I was younger. Oh well, I'm bound to become that person again one day, probably not anytime soon but one day. And that post was from my Why? post, from 363ish days ago.
And now as I promised the song.
And now I hope to have another blog filled year, with random stuff, and hopefully finding some happiness.
