Yay, another award

Thank you Starflower, from the blog fairy skeletons, for awarding me the Liebster Award. ^.^
And customary to blog awards there are rules.

  • Each nominee must link back to the person that nominated them!
  • Answer the ten questions given to you by the nominator!
  • Nominate 10 other bloggers who have less than 200 followers!
  • Create 10 questions for your nominees to answer!
  • Let the nominees know you have nominated them by going to their website and notifying them!
Now onto the questions and answers.
1. Who are some of your favorite people you've met on the Internet?
I'm not sure, because there are many great people that I've met on the Internet.

2. Favorite book character?
Augustus Waters, Katniss Everdeen, and Adam Parrish are the top three that come to mind.

3. What's the best thing you've ever created?
Many things come to mind like baking brownies in a muffin tin or creating that art collage for my painting class, but I would have to say my fantasy novel Immortality Doesn’t Exist.

4. Cold weather or warm weather?
Personally, I prefer warm weather. It's a nice time to go outside and just relax. However, I also like cold weather because I could throw a blanket over me, drink hot chocolate, and read a book.

5. Favorite fairy tale/myth?
Little Red Riding Hood has always intrigued me.

6. What do you do when you can't sleep?
I would oftentimes go onto my computer and just go onto tumblr or write or blog or watch some videos that are most likely sciency or whatever else my computer has to offer.

7. If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
I've just been thinking about this the other day at school. And it has got to be the power to stop time. That way I can catch up on sleep, and have plenty of time to study, as well as take a few moments to myself during stressful periods.

8. What five words best describe you?
Smart, lazy, quiet, shy, nerdy.

9. What was your last dream like?
Weird as usual. This time it involved my junior high school building, everyone I know from my new school and old school, textbooks, and my study hall teacher.

10. What's the best advice you've gotten?
The future is today.
Love yourself.
Expand.

My questions for the nominees:
  1. What is one of the things you want to do on your bucket list?
  2. Do you have any bad habits that you want to break?
  3. If you had the chance to turn into any mythical creature, which mythical creature would you turn into and why?
  4. Do you collect anything, if so what?
  5. What was the last book that you’ve read?
  6. What’s on your to-read list?
  7. Do you read the book before watching the movie or watch the movie before reading the book?
  8. What do you love about yourself?
  9. What is one thing you want to learn how to do before you die?
  10.  What is one piece of advice that you would give to yourself from twenty minutes ago?
Nominees:
To anyone who wants this award, and who has less than 200 followers. Because, I cannot think of any bloggers to nominate at the moment.

And now the weather:
- Stacy N.
P.S. Just a random fact, liebster is German for beloved person or darling.

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants blog twist.

Not so long ago, Orphu from A Mirror Made of Words gave me an award. (Thanks by the way ^.^). And it’s the Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award, which reminds me a bit of The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, hence the reason why it’s in the title.

And like any other blogging award, it comes with a set of rules.

  • Acknowledge the person who passed the award to you and provide their link.
  • Include the award logo on your blog.
  • Answer the ten questions posted below.
  • Make up your own ten questions for the next people.
  • Nominate blogs and link those you have especially enjoyed reading. The number you can select is up to you.
  • Notify each individual that you have nominated them
  1. What’s the first thing that comes to mind when I ask you this question? Candy canes, and I have no clue as to why I am currently thinking that.
  2. What’s your favourite flightless bird? Through the useful links of Wikipedia, I have found  two that I particularly like. The Cretan Owl and the Tyto pollens. They’re owls who became extinct due to humans taking over their living space.
  3. If you could no longer be a mammal, what creature would you be? (No idea why you would have to stop being a mammal but it’s a legitimate question, all right?) I think I would like to be an owl. They’re quiet (most of the time), fluffy, wise, and nocturnal.
  4. Have you ever misread a word that drastically changed the meaning of the sentence? What was it? I don't think I have, but my mind does have a small symptom called bad memory, so it could have forgotten it.
  5. Stargirl or Pippi Longstocking? Even though I haven't read either books of either characters  I have to say Pippi Longstocking. The reason is because  she seems more interesting than Stargirl and I also heard about her more often.
  6. If you were forced to leave this world in favour of a book-world, which world would you pick? Le Cirque de Rêves from The Night Circus. The reasons are because, it only opens at night, there are many events going on using actual magic (with nothing attached to it), and the food seems amazing.
  7. What are your feelings about Pluto? I have no clue. I can see why the scientists deemed it as an dwarf planet. And I can also see why people want it to become a planet again.
  8. If you had to get a tattoo, what tattoo would you get? A quote written in french, possibly Je c'écrirai... plus tard.
  9. Would you attend Frodo and Sam’s wedding if they invited you? I'm not sure, I haven't read The Hobbit or even seen the movie. So, I'm not really sure what their personalities are like, but if they seem cool, sure.
  10. What would you have been named if you were male? Probably a dude named Timothy.
Now comes my questions.
  1. What is your favorite Super Bowl commercial and why? (It can be a commercial from the past or now).
  2. If you were a fish for a day, what would you do? (Provided that you didn’t get caught by a fisherman, of course).
  3. What is one thing that you are excited for this year?
  4. One afternoon, the Doctor shows up on your doorway, and with a serious expression on his face, he says the words that you’ve only heard him say on television, “Would you be my companion?” Do you accept the offer and run with him, or would you not, knowing that you have a normal life to attend to?
  5. It is a windy afternoon, and you are walking home from somewhere tedious, when you happen to chance upon someone important… Who is it, what is the reason for you bumping into them?
  6. You have the chance to Skype with anyone (including animals and/or extraterrestrials), who is it and what do you two talk about?
  7. What is your favorite piece of writing that you have read this year? (It can be a quote, book, fanfiction, etc.)
  8. Have you done something badly on purpose, just so you won’t have to do it again?
  9. Do you have a platonic relationship with anyone? If so who? If not, do you want one? If so, who?
  10. Do you remember any random lyrics that may have been floating around in your head lately? If so, what are they?
And then, the nominees.

Sharing the love~

Liebster – German for favorite, dearest, dear, or my dear, according to Google translator. That means that the Liebster Blog Award stands for Favorite Blog, Dearest Blog, Dear Blog, or My Dear Blog. The more you know.

So, as you can see from the picture of the Liebster Blog Award, I’ve got nominated for the award again. Thanks to Juliet from A Purple Sky for nominating me.  Unlike last time where I just tagged people who had fewer than two hundred followers, I also have to name 11 facts about me; answer 11 questions from the last blogger; ask 11 new questions; and tag 11 people.

Official rules:
The Liebster Award are for bloggers with less than 200 followers. Award winners share 11 facts about themselves, answer the 11 questions asked by the blogger who tagged them, come up with 11 of their own questions and tag 11 more bloggers with the award.
That seems easy, I guess…

11 random facts about me
  1. I like the actor, David Tennant, who plays the tenth Doctor in the show Doctor Who.
  2. The only two states I’ve been to in the United States are Nevada and California.
  3. The only Olympic event that I’ve watched all the way, was the Closing Ceremonies.
  4. I used to be on the Academic Team – nicknamed the Nerd Herd – in the seventh and eighth grade.
  5. I used to be in a book club my friend made, but we didn’t really read anything because it failed after a month.
  6. I do weird things when I’m bored such as clean my room for three days straight.
  7. One of my favorite childhood movies is Anastasia.
  8. I can’t decide if I like Taylor Swift’s new song We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together or not.
  9. I like to wear dresses but only if it is a nice day out.
  10. I have a giant unabridged English dictionary that used to belong to my dad who had it because it made him look smart.
  11. I want a white, fluffy, havanese dog when I grow up.
My answers to the previous eleven questions asked by Juliet.
  1. What book are you currently reading? I’m reading Rapture by Lauren Kate, the last book in the Fallen series.
  2. What was the best movie you've ever seen? It’s a tie between The Hunger Games and The Lorax.
  3. Have you ever dreamed at night that you were in a book, movie, or TV show? Which one? When I was sick, I dreamt of the book The Looking Glass Wars by Frank Beddor. It felt like I was actually right there in the book, it was weird…
  4. Where's the best place you've ever visited? I have no clue, but it just might be the state capital of my state.
  5. What's your dream job? My dream job is to become an author, and I don’t care if I make it to the best seller list or not, because I just want to get my stories out there.
  6. What awards have you won? Blog awards or real life awards? Blog awards you can check in my tidbits page. Real life awards, I have too many to count. A couple of them include the Vietnamese Outstanding Achievement award, the no tardies award, an award for having a 4.0 GPA all year, and more.
  7. Did you work in high school or college? What did you do? / Or, if you are too young to have a job, where do you want to work for a high school/college job? I want to try working at a newspaper place when I’m college, as for high school I don’t know but I should choose soon.
  8. Do you speak more than 1 language, even if it's just a sentence or two? I speak three languages, English, Vietnamese (not much), and three years of French.
  9. Do you play any instruments? I knew how to play a song on the piano, but by now I forgot about it.
  10. Oh my goodness, I'm struggling to think of questions... how do you think of these?? These are good questions to ask people.
  11. Ermmm... this is embarrassing. OK, would you risk your life (and I mean, REALLY risk it) for someone you love? *Shrugs* Depends on the person and the situation.

My questions
  1. What is the first book that you can think of?
  2. What fictional place do you really want to go to?
  3. What fictional place do you not want to go to?
  4. What animal can you relate to?
  5. What is your pet peeve?
  6. If you were able to make a new public holiday; what will the public holiday be about and on what day?
  7. What would be the most annoying super power to have?
  8. If you were on the run; what crime did you commit and where would you run to?
  9. Would you want a perfect world (no crimes, wars, hunger, sickness, etc) but no free will or would you want an imperfect world with free will?
  10. You’re the leader of a new planet; what would you name it and where is it in the universe?
  11. What is the meaning behind the name of your blog?

And I will give the award to…
  1. Neville from Musings from a Neville’s Navel
  2. Cossy from Endless Ramblings and a Fez
  3. Photo from moi, je ne regrette rien.
  4. Teitay from Sweetpeapanda
  5. Haley from RiOT!

  8. Eru from Whispers of Wind and Song
  9. Annika from Writing Beyond the Moon
  10. RSW from Awesome Me
  11. Haylee from Dare To Be Glamorous

Have a wonderful day/night~
Love,

Poke, you're it.

I found the picture for the award after a lot of scrounging around.
I got another blog award. ^.^
>------------------>
And just like every other blog award in existence this one comes with a set of rules.

  1. You have to thank the person who nominated you on their blog to receive your honor.
  2. You have to tell 7 things about yourself and human canoe counts!
  3. You have to nominate 15 blog’s and then tell them of their nomination!

That seems easy, I guess, but what does the human canoe mean? Do you just do the award again if you got nominated again, or what? Oh well, I should get on with the post.
Thank you TeiTay for giving me this award. I recommend checking out her amazing blog that's full of random stuff.
Now some stuff about me that I'm going to tell through pictures.

1. I procrastinate on stuff a lot, especially when said stuff is required to get done.

2. I'm starting to like Doctor Who however, I'm still in season one.

3. I have to take a health and p.e class online during the summer, because I refuse to do it in the classroom and it's easier to do it online anyways.

4. I want to learn Italian and go Italy with my newly learned Italian.

5. I have a french pen pal that I still need to reply to.

6. I love chocolate chip cookies,  they taste better than the raisin ones any day.

7. Apparently I make weird faces when I eat and I don't really notice it because I'm thinking

Well I should start nominating people, I can't just stop the blog award chain. What's the point of having a blog award if you're not going to nominate people with it? And I can only think of three people to give this too, so I'm sorry if you're not one of the three people.

  1. Olive
  2. Cossy
  3. Juliet
Now I'm off to tell them.
And opinions are needed here
Also join the scavenger hunt contest my friend eshy is hosting.

An idea

This has been on my mind for a while (and by a while I meant months) and I wasn't sure if anyone will accept it. You're probably thinking what the idea might be and waiting for me to spit it out already. Well, here's the idea.

An award.

You know the typical blog award that bloggers will receive in their blogging life. They're fun to have and hopefully easy enough to do if they involve questions. Plus they're pretty cool in my opinion. And I wanted to invent a new blogging award that will hopefully stay around forever like the versatile blog award and the liebster blog award.

So if I bring out this award will people actually like them and be happy to receive them? And if so what should this new blog award be called? Please comment below if you know any good names but please make sure that the names aren't in use with another blog award.

And if you replied yes then should there be a little meme thing with the award, like questions or random facts, or other.

A get one get another one free kind of award

You know how some stores do a buy one get one free [with equal or lesser value] to get rid of their items faster. Well this post will kind of be like that. Only with awards, and plus I didn't really buy anything (other than pop tarts for my brother's birthday which is today). Well moving on.
TeiTay from sweatpeapanda, gave me un, deux, uno, dos, two awards. So thank you! ~ ^.^
These two awards have been going around the blogging community for some time now. And the first award I received was the...

Mrs. Sparkly’s Ten Commandments award. And no, I don't think this involves the actual Ten Commandments in anyway, if you happened to be wondering that. As most awards in the blogging community goes, there's usually a set of questions that you're supposed to answer. Like this award, so if you're wondering what the questions are...

1. Describe yourself in seven words: Writer, blogger, kind-of-creative, bookworm, smart, procrastinator, and a teenager.
2. What keeps you up at night: Depends on the night. It's usually the internet, sometimes it's a book that I'm nearly finished with. Another time it's schoolwork, or even my family. But most of the time it's the internet.
3. Whom you’d like to be: Every time I notice that it's 11:11, I would usually wish for the same thing. Happiness. I just want to be a happier person in the person, because being sad just won't cut it. You frown, you start to build walls up around yourself, and sometimes people just go away. While if you're happier, more people starts to come into your life, you smile more, and generally jus have more fun.
4. What are you wearing right now: Darkish jeans and a pink shirt that has some kind of magazine cover on it. Most likely a cover from Vietnam, or somewhere.
5. What scares you: The general idea of pain, whether it's physical, or even emotional. Another thing that scares me is losing something when I was pretty sure I had a while ago. And a tangible thing that scares me is... I have no clue.
6. What are the best and the worst things about blogging:
Best: Posting whatever you want, posting whenever you want, it helps you to not do your homework or writing at the moment, there's always usually one person that reads your blog.
Worst: Blogging makes you feel like you have to post everyday, there's usually one person who hates your blog [who you may or may not know], the feeling that you might get that your blog isn't good enough, and... clouds. (I have no clue how the last one came up. Maybe it's because of the clouds outside my window).
7. What was the last website you looked at: Hmm... I'm pretty sure it was TeiTay's blog; which other blog would I have to get the rules, questions, and awards from. But if you're not talking about a blog, it would be Pandora.
8. If you could change one thing about yourself what would you change: If I had to change one thing about myself it would be to... procrastinate less. Because if I did that, I'm pretty sure I would get a lot more work done and possibly be a bit more creative.
9. Slankets, yes or no: Aren't Slankets just like Snuggies? Because if they are [which I'm pretty sure they are] then no. Snuggies came first anyways, and the Slankets are just a rip off of the original.
10. Tell us something about the person that nominated you: TeiTay is an amazing person. She has a pretty awesome blog. (So check it out here ). She wants to become an author when she grows up, and loves books like the Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan, and the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. She also did nano and won! And she hates math.
~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~
The second award is....
The Sunshine Award 2011 (even though it ended two months ago. Oh well, who cares?) This one, like the one above also came with a set of questions. So here they are.
Favorite color: Green, especially one that isn't too bright, pale, light, or dark, like this one.
Favorite animal: Which one? Domesticated or wild? If it's domesticated then it's dogs. They're just cute and a whole lot more active than cats (even though I have a cat). If it's wild then it would be a jellyfish. But my favorite between those two, it would be the dog.
Favorite number: Four, because I have four siblings. Seven, I have no clue why. Nine, I have no idea either. And 18, because that's the day I was born.
Favorite drink: Sprite, it's just a good drink. So is hot chocolate, which is good for a cold/warm night/day, especially if you're trying to relax.
Facebook or twitter: Facebook, because most of my friends are on it. Twitter, you just tweet about your life, which is a bit boring. Plus facebook has games.
My passion: Writing and reading of course. Two useful passions needed to become an author.
Getting or giving presents: Getting presents is nice, so is giving presents. But in truth, I have to say I like getting presents a bit more. It's nice just to know that a person is thinking of you.
Favorite pattern: I have no clue, maybe it's random paint splatters. It's not that geometric, straight, or symmetrical.
Favorite day of the week: Friday or Saturday, not Sunday because you have to do homework that's due the next day -_-   .
Favorite flower:  I like lilacs, I have no clue why. Even though it's either white, purple or minus-green [Just watch this minute video to understand]. Ever since reading the Hunger Games, President Snow just ruined roses for me.
Now who to give these two awards to...
eshy from eshyletters ~ your blog is inspiring. I love your letters, and I hope this makes your day.
Leelee from Waddle Quack ~ Even though I just barely started following you. I think you deserve this award anyways. Your blog is cute and amusing, and I love how you post about your friends.
Juliet from A Purple Sky ~ Your blog is simply inspiring as well as your youtube channel. Keep up the good work.

Un prix ~ Award

No this award isn't in French if you were wondering. As you probably tell by now, I use a couple of french words here and there.
